Dj Alicantino y creador del programa radiofónico HAPPYHOUSE a comienzos del ano 2000 y ante todo, amante y buen conocedor del sonido House desde hace más de 15 anos.
Comenzó a interesarse por la música de baile y los Megamixes en la primera mitad de los noventa a través de los recopilatorios que editaban los sellos independientes nacionales. Sus sesiones se han podido escuchar desde una emisora de radio, una pista de baile, tiendas de moda, centros de estética o peluquerías... incluso un catamarán en una puesta de sol o en un auditorio de música. Cualquier lugar es bueno para escuchar una sesión de "ritmos House".
Jose Ródenas como "Dj autodidacta", se inicia en el terreno de las mezclas curiosamente a través de las cintas de cassette, con una pequena radio con dos platinas y con el simple hecho de frenar con los dedos las cintas para obtener la velocidad adecuada para así poder acompasar los temas entre si.
En 1995, comenzó a escuchar tímidamente algunos temas House de carácter más comercial que se "colaban" casí por casualidad en algunos programas de radio. Temas como "The Buckectheads, The bomb", "De'Lacy, Hideaway", "The Original, I love you baby", "Nightcrawlers, Push the feeling on", "Todd Terry feat Jocelyn Brown & Martha Wash, Jumpin'" "Reel to Reel, I like to move it" entre otros, fueron los que "convencieron" musicamente a Jose Ródenas para seguir por el sendero de la música House.
En 1998, Jose participa en el concurso nacional de DJ´s de Cuarenta Principales, quedando ganador por Alicante, ya por aquél ano con una sesión de música House. La cara negativa del concurso con una final provincial que se celebró en una conocida sala del centro de Elche fue (y aunque a día de hoy pareza increible), la prohibición por parte de aquella sala a participar con la sesión de House que Jose había preparado, a lo que Jose se negó en rotundo y nunca llegó a participar en esa final provincial. Curiosamente muchos anos después y en la actualidad esa misma sala a terminado por programar música House en sus sesiones.
En Mayo de 2000, Jose Ródenas da inicio a HAPPYHOUSE, el programa de radio que aportaría luces a la ciudad de Alicante en cuanto a cultura musical House. Comienza a emitirse en Radio Millenium Alicante, todos los Sábados de 21:00h a 23:00h y más adelante también se emitiría los Viernes noche. Permaneció en antena hasta Agosto de 2002.
En el ano 2001, Jose vence en el Primer Concurso de Sesiones de Radio One 90.5 FM, conocida emisora de radio-dance Valenciana. En esta primera edición, fueron 55 los participantes que entregaron su sesión para el veredicto final.
En 2003, Jose Ródenas llega a la final del segundo Campeonato Nacional de Megamixes organizado por la revista DeeJay.
En Noviembre de 2004, Jose Ródenas y HAPPYHOUSE, vuelven a la radio, pero esta vez lo harán desde el dial de la ciudad del Turia, aportando como siempre el equilibrio entre la calidad y el buen gusto a la hora de selecionar los temas en una sesión semanal de música house a través de las ondas. HAPPYHOUSE acabó su temporada en Agosto de 2005.
En Diciembre de 2005, HAPPYHOUSE se materializa como página web, portal de información y enlaces sobre música house.
El 9 de Octubre de 2006, Jose Ródenas retoma sus sesiones en radio para Alicante en Onda 15 Radio, en el 106.2 FM Alicante y 87.9 FM Elche, pasando así a formar parte del Dream Team Dj´s con sus sesiones de Soulful, Garage, Deep, Afro, Disco y House, todos los Lunes de 20:00h a 21:00h.
Jose también ha pinchado para Máxima FM, emisora nacional en un set de 7 horas de duración emitiendose para todo el país a través de las ondas y vía satélite y por Internet para todo el planeta. Ha sido el primer Dj al que le han dedicado toda una noche del Sábado en la conocida emisora dance del grupo PRISA.
Recientemente tambien se le a podido escuchar en la conocida emisora Ibizenca de gran prestigio musical Ibiza Global Radio.
Jose Ródenas ha compartido cabina con grandes Dj's de Alicante como David Martínez, Enrique Ferrer, Ángel Arrollo, Ricardo Adriasola, Carlos Collado o acompanado con la percusión de uno de los más importantes percusionistas del mundo: Pakito Baeza.
Durante estos anos ha pinchado en diferentes locales de Alicante como Aquarium, Artea, Paradís, Ovuca, Cha-Cha, Desafinado, Café Loft, La Playa o en las fiestas "On Boat" y la "Sunset Lights Party".
Siempre ha permanecido fiel al sonido House y es uno de los pocos Dj's al que solo se le ha podido ver y escuchar música house durante los más de 12 anos dedicados en exclusiva a la música House. En sus sesiones puedes encontrar el equilibrio perfecto entre el sonido más puro y elegante combinando la diversión y el baile sin tocar los extremos de la comercialidad o el aburrimiento.
Sellos como: Soulfuric, Defected, Swing City, MoreHouse, Purple, Salted, Barcoda, Generate, Distant, Siesta, Gossip, Knee Deep, Duffnote, Hermosa, King Street o Look At You por citar algunos, tienen siempre un hueco en la maleta de Jose Ródenas.
Las producciones de Grant Nelson, Jaime Lewis, Knee Deep, Central Avenue, Dj Circle, Jay-J, Miguel Migs, Groove Junkies, Deep Swing, Richard Earnshaw, Dj Spen, Jazz & Groove, Kings of Groove, Soularis, Danny Clark, Hott 22 o Christian Alvarez siempre tienen un lugar preferente como "herramientas" musicales para hacer mover la pista de baile. |
